Saturday, March 27, 10AM to 2PM
A contribution day is a get-together for focused work on a project. Contribution days are an important part of Drupal's growth and are also a great opportunity to get involved because others are on hand to help you contribute. There is a dedicated contribution day on Saturday, so come and collaborate with other Drupal community members!
We're working with initiative leads on what our focus will be this year.
First Time Contribution Workshops
With DrupalCon only weeks away, MidCamp's Contribution Day is the perfect time to start honing your contribution skills. This year we're making the day spicier by adding mini-workshops about ALL the different ways folks can contribute back to the Drupal project beyond code. Documentation, event-planning, issue triage, testing, you name it, we probably will talk about how to get involved...
Workshops to be announced, but here are some we're working on:
- Non-code Community Contributions beyond Documentation
- Issue Queue 101 and Etiquette including how to create and triage issues
- How to Contribute to Documentation
But don't fret, we'll also get into the codey-code aspects of giving back. We will have plenty of mentors available to help with local-development solutions, how to create a patch or use the new merge request workflow, issue queue etiquette and more.
