Description
Don’t waste time installing software for your next Drupal or WordPress class. Instead, focus on what you love: teaching. Instead of relying on quirky local apps or shared hosting, leverage professional development environments in the cloud that work the same way in any OS (even mobile).
I’m going to talk about our experience running "Welcome to Drupal" classes for Drupal Global Training Days for 300 simultaneous students and why we created Pantheon for Trainers - free online cloud environments for managing your Drupal or WordPress classrooms. We'll also hear how folks in Higher Ed have been using our techniques in 2018 and how it has affected their classes.
In this session, I’ll discuss the best practice techniques for teaching classes online or in person, for Higher Ed, or even at cons or meetups. You’ll walk away from this session with techniques you can run with immediately, and long-term strategies that won’t cost you (or your students) a dime.
