Description
Unless you want your Drupal 8 site to be exactly the same as a Drupal 6 or 7 site, you will have to write custom migration routines to import your data. This workshop will walk through the process of creating custom migrations for some of the more common use cases and how to overcome some more challenging scenarios.
A similar workshop was presented at DrupalCorn '18: https://docs.google.com/presentation/d/1juYXBTvcC_aog_gEjEExEqZWGi-9temDAhm0QXtA8JI

Senior Developer @ Share GoodI'm a permaculture designer, but Drupal has been my day job since 2007, when Drupal 6 was the new hotness. For about half that time, data migrations were my specialty. These days I'm senior developer (back end) at Share Good, but available for other projects.
I was an early adopter of Duolingo and have studied 13 languages so far with a 1600+ day streak.
