Lando is for developers who want to quickly specify and painlessly spin up the services and tools needed to develop their projects. It's a free, open source, cross-platform, local development environment and DevOps tool built on Docker container technology and developed by Tandem. It's also the new hotness that people are talking about everywhere, and the buzz is valid! It's a wonderful tool and it's really streamlined my development process.
We'll review what Lando is and walk through setting up a Drupal project with Lando, then show how to debug Drupal sites running on Lando, how to change database engines (say, to Postgres or MariaDB), how to add custom services (like Solr), how to run Drupal phpunit and Behat tests, how to run PhantomJS, and more.
Anyone who has a local development environment can benefit from this and learn more about this great tool.
Github repo with examples of everything we go over can be found [will be attached here].
